Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?A New York City native, I was raised by my grandmother in the gritty and colorful Spanish Harlem. I’ve always had an air of defiance and will about me. So much so, that I’m sure my Grandma would have loved to throw my stubborn little butt out a window. I say that laughing… but it’s THAT stubbornness that has me on such a fiery journey. Plenty of people told me what I was incapable of, but my nature told me differently…

Solar Opposites: The show I storyboard on.
I’m so proud of my stint on this show and with the amazing crew. No lie, this crew heal me from all of the mess I dealt with at Dreamworks. With an emphasis on tight and inclusivity, the Rick and Morty crew is prob my fave group to work with. lots of cursing and straight talk, I just wished the hiatuses weren’t so long. lol other than that, it’s been the best experience on a show in a while. I mean, they welcomed us to work from home or leave early as long as work gets done… amazing. Factoring in Pay, work-scale, crew, Ex-Producer relations, and culture overall. Yup, this studio is rated high on my scale.
Anyways, check out the show I’ve been working on. May 8th on Hulu. YEEYAAAH!

Online Inspirations
Some of the inspiration I find around the web. While I work on the storyboards for my film, I’ve discovered so many things that inspire me. I love the way GildGuy flows with the music. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do in my work. However, working in the industry on projects has really dimmed my fire with it came to this stuff. Seeing this indie animator just rip into this piece really revs me up. Sooooooo cool.

Shazam! Want to see my pitch deck?
So here is a second pitch I developed to show WB. They dug it but then the pandemic happened and I heard nothing. seemed like the studios were pausing. So here I am, sharing my process. It would have been fun to make something with an emotional beat. When I develop, I think about the emotional journey the most. I feel like shows I want to see aren’t being made as much, anymore. It makes me creative and I can’t help but dive deep. I personally find much of the superhero movie and series lacking in strong emotional beats. I’m often left not feeling much of anything when I see a hero learn his flat powers instantly. I prefer seeing them train, struggle, and deal with real-life emotions. A person’s emotional state affects the way their overall journey unfolds. I really wanted this character’s journey to be more, relatable.
We are on Youtube!!!
So I’ve decided to produce and direct episodes with my partner for the House of Batman. The last posts about the pitch book for that show idea went over so well. I was excited to think about using the quarantine time to produce the eps me and my partner, Dan Echo, wrote up. Where would we air them? On the Boomtagx Youtube channel…. it would be so fun to work on this and give the batman fans a lil bit of what they would be missing.
Wanna see the "House of Batman" animated series I pitched to WB?
So like I said before, I was asked to pitch to WB. I pitched 3 series. One being something I called House of Batman. I am pretty proud of how it turned out. I figure since they didn’t move on it, I could post it and share a lil bit of how I format my pitch decks. Do check it out.
